Second time visiting Cockatoo Island, I just love this place. Lots of space to wander around the island and learn about the history and take in the gorgeous harbour views. Free entry is a bonus.
Unique & different - how I‘d describe my visit to Sydney Harbour‘s biggest island. Visiting Cockatoo Island, I realised that it is more than just an old convict precinct. It also used to be a school and one of Australia‘s biggest boats were built here as well, especially during WWII....
Great day trip in Sydney Harbour. Rich history, amazing views, and easy ferry access. Plenty to explore, especially the old shipyards and walking trails—perfect for photos and a relaxed visit.
It’s a really fascinating place to visit especially the large Turbine warehouse in the industrial area, very impressive and a super cool location for photos. You can see everything in 2-3 hours if you’re taking your time which is just the amount of time I reckon. Now there is one...
It's a place with a very interesting history. It was a great opportunity for my elementary school-aged children to learn about history. The scenery was beautiful, and it was a pleasant walk. There is also a cafe on the island, so you can relax and enjoy yourself.
